Rosie Edwards

Across the interior of the disused shop Rosie constructed a pegboard barrier that initially alluded to both construction hoardings and shop display systems. During twelve-hour daily performances she transformed the barrier by pushing 82,000 modelling balloons, one by one, through the small holes to form a seething mass of colour. The pegboard allowed Rosie to hide while she worked, with the audience only able to see dangling strings emerging from behind the hoarding.

Rosie was commissioned in 2013 for A Million Minutes in partnership with Islington Council with funding from Arts Council England.
